What is the GBS? It's a fellowship of adventurous, taste seeking souls set out on a quest to find the world's best beer.

 How do you find that perfect specimen?  The task is not easy. Many brave souls have ventured before you only to fall short and not make it to the prize at the end of the journey. Some start out and are never seen again. Only a pure hearted beer lover with the right mindset and passion for beer may follow in the footsteps of the Distinguished few before them and become forever immortalized upon the walls of honor and glory.

Seriously though, the GBS is about expanding your knowledge and taste experience in the world of beer.  We stock over 150 different brands of bottled beer from around the world to help you on your journey.  The goal is to take a trip around the world through the different brands and styles of beer the world has to offer. You will ultimately drink 125 different beers to gain experience and appreciation for that magical concoction that has been made since before the time of the ancient Pharaohs. In fact, the oldest proven records of brewing beer are about 6,000 years old and refer to the Sumerians. Some beers you'll love! Others may make you wonder why you ever bought it.  But hey, that's what happens when you venture out into the unknown. Nobody said it was easy. But fear not, for we are with you the entire way.  Our GBS computer will track your footsteps and help you find your way should the path ahead become unclear.  

Completing the journey brings honor, bragging rights, immortality and the option to purchase (for a nominal fee) the coveted GBS Stein.  Your personalized 34 oz stein is the perfect mug from which to enjoy your favorite draft beer.  Your name will be added to our Distinguished Members Board for all to see.  Because the path you choose is never the same, some have dared to cross the world more than once to join an elite group known as the Double Distinguished.  Believe it or not, three guys actually went out and did it a third time.
